A full cord of wood price really depends on where you’re purchasing the cord of wood from and what type of wood is the cord of wood made up of and how long each piece of wood is. Each cut piece is from 12″ – 24″ long. This means sometimes there is more than three rows of wood in an entire full cord of wood.
To keep things simple, when you’re buying a full cord of wood just make sure it’s about 8 feet long by 4 feet high and 4 feet wide. This will be the same regardless of the length of each piece.
A lot of times people are selling a “rick” of wood and a rick of wood is usually roughly half of a full cord of wood.
Face Cord of Wood
A rick of wood is also known of face cord of wood. So a rick or face of cord would be about 4ft tall by 8ft long and just one stack deep or roughly 16″ wide.
Of course it also depends on how long each piece of wood is. If you purchase a face cord of 12″ lengths you’d be getting about 1/4th of a full cord of wood. A face cord at 16″ would be about 1/3 a cord and a face cord of 24″ cuts is half a cord of wood.
Typically a full cord of wood costs from $100 – $250.
